Weekly SCRA records net sale of Rs734m

October 27, 2023 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended October 20, 2023 clocked in at Rs734.24 million, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs2.17 billion recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday.

The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs6.98bn, which is around 3.06x higher than the figures recorded last week.

While the total purchase of securities stood at Rs6.25bn, which is 40.43% higher than the prior week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs1.8bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs4.7bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs2.96bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs3.78bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.15bn, which marks a rise of Rs86.59m over the week.
