Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs2.86bn

July 05, 2024 (MLN): The net purchase of securities for the week ended June 28, 2024 clocked in at Rs2.86bn, as compared to a net sale worth Rs152.75m recorded last week, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Monday.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs30.51bn, which is around 392.26% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs33.37bn, which is 452.09% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net purchase of Rs2.86bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs27.33bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs24.31bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs12.8bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs14.84bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs25.89bn, which marks a decline of Rs4.59bn over the week.
