Water supply for Punjab and Sindh rises

Water supply  Punjab and Sindh have increased sharply from last year as inflows are up on melting of ice and some rain fall in northern parts.

Irsa spokesman said that indents have increased this year, from May 1, the supply in Punjab would be 90,000 cusec , in Sindh 80,000 cusec, in Baluchistan  6,000 cusec and Khyber Pakhtunkwa 3,100 cusec. The flows have been higher compared to last year. Irsa spokesman said for the first time Baluchistan is getting water for Khareef season.

During last season Punjab and Sindh were receiving water amounting to 75,000 and 65,000 cusec respectively.
