WASA to take action against chronic defaulters

October 10, 2018: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has decided to launch a crackdown against its chronic defaulters.

During the drive, water supply and sewerage connections of defaulters would be detached besides taking legal action for recovery of dues.

A spokesman of the agency said that WASA has launched a campaign against defaulters who have failed to deposit WASA dues despite repeated notices and requests.

He told that the action would be taken against major defaulters and in every subdivision, special teams have been constituted for the purpose.

Managing Director WASA Faqeer Muhammad Chaudhary will supervise the drive and action would also be taken against those WASA officers and officials who will fail in implementing the crackdown in its true spirit.

He told that help of police and local administration has also been sought as crackdown would continue till 100 percent recovery of dues.
