Toyota hikes car prices by up to Rs1.16mn

January 30, 2023 (MLN): The Indus Motor Company (IMC) announced a price increase for its Toyota cars, up to PKR 1.16 million, due to economic uncertainties and the fluctuation of PKR against USD.
The cost of manufacturing has been negatively impacted, making it difficult for IMC to maintain its current selling prices.
In 2022, IMC sold 54,768 units, with the best-selling models being the Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris.
The new prices will apply to all new orders made after January 12, 2023.
Orders already in the system as of January 12, 2023, will be invoiced according to their original prices, as outlined in IMC price circulars from March 22, 2022, and April 29, 2022.
