Tarbela IV (T4) project declared successful by World Bank

March 6, 2019: Pursuant to the news items being published in the print media regarding the inauguration of Tarbela IV (T4) hydropower project, Ministry of Water Resources would like to state that the contents of such media reports appear as not in sync with the complete facts of the operative parts of the investigation report.

It may be mentioned here that while presenting review of World Bank funded projects during the Steering Committee meeting of Dasu Hydropower Project held on 05-03-2019, the World Bank expressed its entire satisfaction on the successful completion of the T4 project on time and below cost, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.

It was also highlighted that the T4 hydropower project is operating successfully as envisaged in the Project Appraisal Document of the World Bank as well as the benchmarks set forth by the Bank.
