Tarbela dam reservoir reaches its maximum storage capacity

August 20, 2019: Tarbela Dam reservoir on Tuesday reached its maximum storage capacity of 1,550 feet, as well as its power production capacity of 4,888 Megawatts.

According to the Tarbela Dam officials, the dam administration opened one spillway and the rest of the water was discharging through 17 power generation units of the dam.

The water inflow on the same day was recorded at 198,300 cusec feet whereas the outflow was at 181,900 cusec feet.

Moreover, 17 power generation units were working with full capacity and were producing 4,888 megawatts electricity.
