Scammers using fake electricity bill subsidy links to steal consumer data
Pakistan's Power Division has warned electricity consumers to beware of a fraudulent scheme in which hackers and criminals are using fake QR codes and bogus online links to steal personal information under the pretense of a government electricity bill subsidy.

Nepra raises electricity tariff by Rs1.42 per unit
Pakistan’s power regulator, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), has approved an increase of Rs1.42 per unit in electricity prices under the monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) mechanism, attributing the hike to changes in fuel charges for February 2026.
