SZTM Unit No. 1 back in production after brief halt

November 06, 2023 (MLN): Shahzad Textile Mills Limited (PSX: SZTM) has successfully resumed the operations of Unit No. 1, located at 34th KM Lahore Sheikhupura Road, Sheikhupura, the company’s filing on the local bourse revealed today.

The Board of Directors (BoD) of SZTM earlier decided to shut down Units No. 1 and 4 from September 29, 2023, for an indefinite time due to lesser market demand for yam, and other economic adversities.

The company is domiciled in Pakistan and the principal business of the company is to manufacture and deal in all types of yarn.

At the time of writing, the company's share is being traded at Rs50, down by 49 paisa or 0.97% compared to its previous close.
