September 29, 2020 (MLN): The Gas shortfall in Sindh has reduced from 150 to 100 mmcfd, with pressure of gas also improving considerably.

As a result, SSGC is now supplying around 170 to 180 mmcfd of gas to K-Electric Company, after the latter consistently blamed the company for insufficient supply of gas and ensuing load shedding.

As many as three gas fields of the company, namely Sanjhoro, Sajwal and, Zargoon, have successfully undergone annual maintenance and started supplying gas.

SSGC has stated that the inclusion of LNG in the system as well as improvement in line pace shall help in improving the overall gas supply.

The company has also suggested laying a 17-kilometer gas pipeline from Port Qasim to help improve supply of gas in Sindh.
