Shield Corporation Board decides to end diaper production

May 21, 2025 (MLN): The Board of Directors of Shield Corporation Limited (PSX: SCL) has made the decision to discontinue the production of diapers, while continuing its other lines of business.

The Board has accordingly authorized the Chief Executive to take steps to cease diaper production by June 15, 2025 or earlier, taking into account relevant operational and financial factors.

Additionally, the Chief Executive has been tasked to explore and execute the disposal of diaper machines and other assets related to diaper production, and to carry out all necessary enabling tasks.

This decision follows a comprehensive review of the operational and financial performance, market dynamics, and future outlook of the diaper segment.

The discontinuation is expected to contribute to an improvement in the company’s bottom line, the notification issued to the local bourse.

It is clarified that this discontinuation is limited solely to the diaper product, and the company will continue its operations, including the manufacturing of other baby care products such as baby feeders, baby nipples, soothers, teethers, training cups, and more.
