SHC reacts to Bank Islami's unusual transaction, restrains any unacknowledged debit towards the bank: PSX

October 29, 2018 (MLN): In response to an official announcement made by the Bank Islami regarding an abnormal transaction worth Rs.2.6 million detected by the bank on an international payment card scheme, the Honorable Sindh High Court has restrained any debit towards the bank that is not acknowledged by the bank itself.

Furthermore, the Bank has instructed its legal counsel to initiate legal proceedings against all those who have been spreading baseless rumors in this aspect

Bank Islami Pakistan witnessed an unusual activity on one of its international payment card scheme, on October 27, 2018.

According to an official announcement made by the Bank to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), BIPL took immediate precautionary steps following the event, including shutting its international payment scheme.

The notice informed that all the monies withdrawn from the accounts have been credited in the respective accounts of the customers.
