Senate accepts delay in presenting reports on water scarcity

September 26, 2018: Senate has adopted two motions to grant extension to a Special Committee for presentation of reports on water scarcity.
These motions were moved under Rule 194 (1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012 and the House granted extension of 60 days to Special Committee on Water Scarcity for presentation of its reports.
These reports were regarding the need of water desalination plants and water shortage in the country.
Both of these issues were raised following motions under Rule 218.
