SBP to observe Bank Holiday on March 3 for Zakat deduction

February 28, 2025 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed for public dealing on Monday, March 3, 2025, which shall be observed as “Bank Holiday” for deduction of Zakat.

This follows instructions in the Notification issued by the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.

Therefore, all banks / DFIs / MFBs shall remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date.

However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on a Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
