SBP receives first tranche of $1bn from IMF

September 27, 2024 (MLN): Following the approval of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board of 37-month Extended Fund Facility amounting to $7 billion, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has received the first tranche of SDR 760 million (equivalent to $1.0269bn) from the IMF today, it said in a statement.
These inflows will be reflected in SBP liquid reserves to be released on Thursday October 03, 2024.
The Executive Board of the IMF on Wednesday approved the 37-month Extended Arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Pakistan.
