SBP raises Rs22bn via GIS Sukuk auction

April 28, 2025 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has successfully raised Rs22.29 billion through an outright purchase auction of GOP Ijara Sukuk (GIS-VRR-18) on a deferred payment (Bai Muajjal) basis, held today.

According to the auction details, the government accepted a total face value of Rs15.5bn against the offered amount of Rs20.5bn. The Sukuk delivery date is also set for April 28, 2025.

For the one-year tenor, bids worth Rs7.5bn were received at a Bai Muajjal price range between 118.61 and 120.14.

Out of these, the government accepted Rs2.5bn at the cut-off deferred price of 118.61, amounting to Rs2.97bn on a Bai Muajjal basis.

Meanwhile, for the three-year tenor, bids totaling Rs13bn were received at a price range of 147.01 to 148.63.

The entire offered amount was accepted at a cut-off deferred price of 148.63, translating into Rs19.32bn in deferred payment terms.
