Saudi Investors keen to Invest in the Energy Sector of Pakistan

October 02, 2018: Saudi Investors have expressed keen interest to invest in power sector of Pakistan, during their call on with Federal Minister for Power, Mr. Omar Ayub Khan.

The delegation was headed by Advisor of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources Mr. Ahmad Hameed Al-Ghamdi.

Mr. Ahmad Hameed Al-Ghamdi said that Pakistan has become a rapidly developing country having tremendous opportunities in energy sector, and has turned into an investor friendly country that completely facilitates and safeguards foreign investment.

Federal Minister, Mr. Omar Ayub Khan welcoming the Saudi delegation reiterated Pakistan’s close fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia and the government’s commitment to strengthen the bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest.

Federal Minister also highlighted that there are great opportunities to invest in the field of electricity generation and transmission.

While highlighting the potential sites for solar, wind and hydel energy, the Minister said that present government is keen to harness the potential for renewable energy, making it quite affordable for people.
