Sale of DAP shows yearly increase of 11.5% in June

July 24, 2020 (MLN): The overall DAP offtake during June 2020 was 176 thousand tonnes, showing an increase of 11.5 percent over June, 2019.

According to National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC), the cumulative DAP offtake during first three months of Kharif 2020 was 388 thousand tonnes showing a downward trend of 15.2 percent over same timeframe of Kharif 2019.

DAP offtake decreased by 1 per cent in Punjab, while its offtake increased in Sindh, KP and Balochistan by 17, 137 and 128 per cent respectively over June, 2019.

Total availability of DAP during June 2020 was 650 thousand tonnes comprising opening balance of 502 thousand tonnes, imported supplies of about 75 thousand tonnes and local production of 73 thousand tonnes. Offtake was about 176 thousand tonnes. The closing balance of DAP worked out to be 474 thousand tonnes.
