Sale of DAP improves by 6.2% in December

January 25, 2021 (MLN): The total sale of DAP during the month of December 2020 was nearly 205 thousand tonnes, representing an increase of 6.2 percent over December 2019

Total DAP availability was 317 thousand tonnes during the month under review. It comprised of 119 thousand tonnes leftover of previous month, 73 thousand tonnes domestic production and 126 thousand tonnes of imported supplies. DAP offtake was 205 thousand tonnes. The closing balance was 112 thousand tonnes

Offtake of DAP increased by 26 and 132 percent in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) respectively while it decreased by 37 and 54 percent in Sindh and Balochistan respectively

DAP availability in current season of Rabi 2020-21 would be around 1230 thousand tonnes, which includes 297 thousand tonnes of opening inventory, 525 thousand tonnes of imported supplies and domestic production of 407 thousand tonnes. Expected offtake of DAP during current Rabi season is about 1045 thousand tonnes, leaving a balance of 185 thousand tonnes for next season.
