Rothschild and Co declares PSX as regional star performer

February 21, 2023 (MLN): Rothschild and Co, one of the world's largest independent financial advisory groups on Monday termed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) as one of the best-performing stock exchanges in the region.

The delegation of the well-known international financial firm Rothschild and Co met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, said a presser issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Monday.

"Pakistan's economic situation is stable and Pakistan's capable workforce is its main strength," it added. 

Moreover, the delegation said that Pakistan has effectively raised awareness about the harmful effects of climate change at the international level in recent days.

The current government's actions for Pakistan's economy are taking it in a positive direction, it noted.

Talking to the participants of the delegation, the Prime Minister said that the government is taking concrete and immediate steps to stabilize the economy of Pakistan.

He further said that reducing unnecessary imports and increasing exports is the first priority of the government.

 Pakistan is also facing the harmful effects of climate change, he added.
