Roshan Packages wraps up 9MFY25 with 34% decline in profit

April 28, 2025 (MLN): Roshan Packages Limited posted a net profit of Rs79.9 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2025, reflecting a 34% decline compared to Rs120.6m recorded in the same period last year, according to the company's consolidated financial results.

Earnings per share (EPS) came in at Rs0.56 during the nine-month period, compared to Rs0.85 recorded in 9MFY24.

The company’s net revenue rose by 11% to Rs7.85 billion, up from Rs7.05bn in 9MFY24, driven by increased sales volume despite persistent cost pressures.

Cost of revenue grew in tandem by 11% to Rs7.17bn, resulting in a gross profit of Rs678m, up 10% compared to Rs614m during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, operating profit improved by 13% to Rs323m, supported by a 64% jump in other income, which clocked in at Rs79m.

However, the bottom line was squeezed by soaring finance costs, which surged by 80% to Rs238m amid high-interest rates and increased borrowings.

Consequently, profit before tax declined by 18% to Rs163m, against Rs197m last year. After accounting for taxation of Rs83m, Roshan Packages reported a final net profit of Rs80m.
