The rate of profit on National Saving Schemes to remain unchanged effective June 1, 2017, said a notification of the Ministry of Finance.

A circular issued said that rate of profit on schemes such as defence savings certificates, regular income certificate, behbood and pension, special saving certificate, special saving account and short term saving certificates.

On Defence saving certificate the rate of profit remained unchanged at 7.54 percent, pension and behbood at 9.36 percent, regular income certificate 6.54 percent and special saving certificate at 6 percent.
