PTA renews Telenor Pakistan license for 15 years

Dec 14, 2021: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has renewed the license of Telenor Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd at the price of $ 449.2 million for the next 15 years, statement issued by PTA showed today.

According to a statement, the renewal ceremony of license was held at the headquarters of the Pakistan Telecom Authority.

Renewed License has enhanced terms and conditions for coverage and quality of service, as established during the recent Pakistan Spectrum Auction.

“The license is renewed at a price of $449.2 million for 15 years, out of which Telenor Pakistan has already paid $333.64 million on account of the license renewal fee and applicable markup,” the statement said.
