PSX to remain close on May 1

April 26, 2023 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Monday, May 01, 2023, on account of Labour Day, the notice issued by the local bourse on Wednesday said.

"All concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Monday, May 1, 2023, being a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Labour Day," the notice read.

Labour Day is celebrated to honor workers and the importance of their contributions to the nation and society.

In 1972, the first labor policy in Pakistan established labor day as an official holiday.
