PSX revises trading hours for Ramadan

March 01, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has revised the Designated Time Schedule (DTS) for trading activities during the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH.

The adjusted schedule will be applicable from the beginning of Ramadan and will revert to standard timings after the holy month unless notified otherwise.

According to the PSX notice, the Regular Market will open at 9:17 AM and close at 1:30 PM from Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays, it will close an hour earlier at 12:30 PM.

The Pre-Open session will be from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM, followed by the Order Matching & Confirmation Period from 9:15 AM to 9:17 AM.

The Post-Close Session will run from 1:35 PM to 1:50 PM (Monday to Thursday) and from 12:35 PM to 12:50 PM on Fridays, while the Trade Rectification/Modification period will be until 2:20 PM on regular weekdays and 1:20 PM on Fridays.

Timings for other market segments, including the Odd Lots Market, Negotiated Deals Market (NDM), Square-Up Market, and Bills & Bonds Market, have also been adjusted accordingly. Additionally, PSX office hours will be 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Fridays.

The revised schedule is aimed at accommodating market participants during Ramadan while ensuring smooth trading operations.
