PSX restricts trading facility of SSPL with immediate effect

March 21, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has restricted the trading facility of Strongman Securities (Pvt) Limited (SSPL), as the amount of company’s Liquid Capital Statement (LC) falls below the minimum specified threshold, a notice issued by bouse said today.

As per the notice, the auditor of the SSPL has expressed an opinion in its reviewed Liquid Capital Statement (LC) as of December 31, 2021, which renders the amount of LC of SSPL to fall below the minimum specified threshold.

Consequently, in compliance with clause 6(6) Securities Brokers (Licensing and Operations) Regulations, 2016, PSX has restricted the trading facility of SSPL with immediate effect until further notice.

The said TRE Certificate holders shall only be allowed to close out its open positions in a controlled environment upon written request.
