PSX, NCCPL, CDC host awareness session on GIS auction

January 11, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in coordination with the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) and Central Depository Company (CDC) is conducting a session on Thursday on awareness of end-to-end process flow for five instruments (GIS) to be issued through PSX Auction System.

The session also includes awareness of Secondary market trading and settlement of GIS.

The session consists of two parts; the first part is related to product awareness, while the second part has to do with PSX Auction System training for participants’ Back Office and Front Office staff.

It is important to highlight that the local bourse on Tuesday released the auction calendar for the GIS auction scheduled from January to March 2024.

During this period, the PSX will conduct three auctions, in which the government's total target is to raise Rs400 billion through the sale of GIS (short term), GIS (Fixed Rate), and GIS (floating rate).
