March 07, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 114,398.69, showing an increase of 685.52 points or 0.60%.
The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 114,721.58 (+1,008.41) and a low of 114,169.19 (+456.02) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 233.23 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 64 closed up, 33 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.
Top gainers during the day were FCCL (+9.45%), PIOC (+8.09%), PSO (+7.70%), ISL (+6.36%), and LCI (+6.25%).
On the other hand, top losers were JDWS (-4.75%), TGL (-3.50%), SRVI (-2.36%), ENGROH (-2.33%), and PKGP (-2.31%).
In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were PSO (+182.84pts), FCCL (+111.14pts), HUBC (+80.26pts), PPL (+57.53pts), and PIOC (+53.86pts).
Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-134.46pts), FFC (-58.19pts), SYS (-25.06pts), BAHL (-24.10pts), and SRVI (-23.93pts).
Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+309.42pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+203.12pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+97.76pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+90.98pts), and Engineering (+38.24pts).
While the index was let down by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-136.66pts), Fertilizer (-40.32pts), Leather & Tanneries (-23.93pts), Technology & Communication (-11.66pts), and Sugar & Allied Industries (-10.98pts).
In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 71,080.58 with a net gain of 451.46 points or 0.64%.
Total market volume was 404.36 million shares compared to 373.09m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs27.84 billion showing an increase of Rs1.59bn.
There were 215,082 trades reported in 431 companies with 219 closing up, 149 closing down, and 63 remaining unchanged.
