November 11, 2024 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 93,648.32, showing an increase of 356.64 points or 0.38%.
The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 94,020.02 (+728.34) and a low of 93,318.91 (+27.23) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 468.86 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 51 closed up, 46 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.
Top gainers during the day were PIBTL (+13.77%), BNWM (+10.01%), SEARL (+10.00%), GLAXO (+10.00%), and AGP (+10.00%).
On the other hand, top losers were ATRL (-4.04%), FABL (-2.96%), PIOC (-2.75%), HUBC (-2.49%), and KOSM (-2.36%).
In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were OGDC (+130.90pts), PPL (+89.00pts), ABOT (+60.08pts), SEARL (+59.39pts), and GLAXO (+59.37pts).
Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were HUBC (-89.35pts), FFC (-73.15pts), HBL (-28.85pts), ENGRO (-28.75pts), and ATRL (-27.74pts).
Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Pharmaceuticals (+253.54pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+187.57pts), Technology & Communication (+47.87pts), Leather & Tanneries (+42.89pts), and Food & Personal Care Products (+42.26pts).
While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-120.57pts), Cement (-93.27pts), Commercial Banks (-74.75pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-64.34pts), and Refinery (-10.08pts).
In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 59,828.07 with a net gain of 426.98 points or 0.72%.
Total market volume was 815.19 million shares compared to 763.26m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs37.32 billion showing an increase of Rs7.12bn.
There were 372,554 trades reported in 453 companies with 226 closing up, 184 closing down, and 43 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 15,203 points or 19.38% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 31,197 points or 49.95% so far this calendar year.
