May 26, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 118,221.12, showing a decrease of 881.55 points or 0.74%.

The index traded in a range of 1,140.67 points, showing an intraday high of 119,290.94 (+188.27) and a low of 118,150.27 (-952.40) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 350.58 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 27 closed up, 70 closed down, 2 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top losers during the day were GADT (-6.88%), POML (-5.80%), TPLRF1 (-5.71%), KTML (-5.09%), and PKGP (-4.02%).

On the other hand, top gainers were KEL (+21.19%), PSEL (+8.00%), ATRL (+4.03%), YOUW (+4.00%), and PTC (+3.80%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-107.27pts), SYS (-105.65pts), PSO (-91.84pts), FFC (-74.23pts), and OGDC (-73.78pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were KEL (+92.34pts), PSEL (+61.88pts), ATRL (+36.92pts), PTC (+17.46pts), and EFERT (+16.27pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-206.24pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-169.20pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-119.64pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-111.45pts), and Technology & Communication (-103.19pts).

While the index was supported by Miscellaneous (+50.32pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+43.36pts), Refinery (+40.59pts), Property (+7.49pts), and Engineering (+6.27pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 73,842.58 with a net loss of 313.04 points or 0.42%.

Total market volume was 635.54 million shares compared to 337.99m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs18.58 billion showing an increase of Rs0.07bn.

There were 257,996 trades reported in 467 companies with 188 closing up, 235 closing down, and 44 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 39,776 points or 50.71% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 3,094 points or 2.69% so far this calendar year.
