PSX Closing Bell: Index Loses 61.48 Points

Trading at the stock exchange remained bearish on Friday with the benchmark KSE100 index losing another 61.48 points to close out the week at 43,011.27

While the index remained positive for much of the first trading session it fell sharply in the afternoon session. The index traded in a range of 327.31 points, making an intraday high of 43,189.60 (+116.86) and a low of 42,862.29 (-210.45) points.

The index, during the current week, declined by a total of 729 points or 1.67%, with analysts points to profit taking in blue chip scrips as well as concern about the economy.

All Share Volume decreased by 23.37 Million to 139.90 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.3.55 Billion.

Total companies traded were 360 compared to 349 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 92 closed up, 241 closed down while 27 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 11,103 to 54,311.

Value Traded decreased by 1.36 Billion to Rs.6.05 Billion
