PSX: Closing Bell - Index Gains 1.40 Percent

The stock market today witnessed an increase of 1.40% and the KSE100 Index closed at 49,389.95, increasing by 678.50 points. The market had been in continuous decline for the last four trading sessions. But investors breathed a sigh of relief as the market moved positive in today’s session.
All Share Volume increased by 27.66 Million to 287.87 Million Shares. Market Cap increased by Rs.80.52 Billion.
Total companies traded were 394 compared to 369 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 249 closed up, 132 closed down while 13 remained unchanged.
Total trades increased by 8,746 to 88,040.
Value Traded increased by 2.31 Billion to Rs.15.37 Billion
