April 18, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 117,315.58, showing an increase of 414.45 points or 0.35%.

The index traded in a range of 1,129.06 points, showing an intraday high of 117,888.13 (+987.00) and a low of 116,759.07 (-142.06) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 212.79 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 51 closed up, 47 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were PGLC (+10.01%), UBL (+9.61%), SAZEW (+6.83%), KTML (+4.80%), and INIL (+3.86%).

On the other hand, top losers were EPCL (-5.53%), HBL (-3.63%), FFC (-2.11%), JDWS (-1.89%), and TPLRF1 (-1.88%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+688.65pts), SAZEW (+58.79pts), SYS (+43.74pts), MEBL (+40.46pts), and LUCK (+38.18pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-209.85pts), HBL (-106.99pts), EFERT (-57.56pts), PSO (-46.69pts), and ENGROH (-27.05pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+690.26pts), Cement (+83.13pts), Automobile Assembler (+71.17pts), Technology & Communication (+34.71pts), and Textile Composite (+23.35pts).

While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-277.50pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-61.11pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-57.88pts), Chemical (-25.55pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-21.01pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 73,347.84 with a net gain of 320.68 points or 0.44%.

Total market volume was 425.12 million shares compared to 408.07m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs34.50 billion showing an increase of Rs2.37bn.

There were 302,494 trades reported in 446 companies with 189 closing up, 197 closing down, and 60 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 38,871 points or 49.55% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 2,189 points or 1.90% so far this calendar year.
