March 18, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 117,001.09, showing an increase of 801.50 points or 0.69%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 117,202.09 (+1,002.50) and a low of 116,490.82 (+291.23) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 274.47 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 66 closed up, 32 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were TRG (+10.01%), EPCL (+5.41%), NATF (+5.24%), PIBTL (+4.72%), and IBFL (+4.44%).

On the other hand, top losers were MARI (-2.94%), FATIMA (-2.18%), AICL (-1.78%), FCEPL (-1.74%), and JVDC (-1.57%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+158.68pts), ENGROH (+145.07pts), HUBC (+96.81pts), TRG (+70.79pts), and LUCK (+68.96pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were MARI (-151.36pts), UBL (-20.17pts), FATIMA (-19.62pts), SYS (-12.63pts), and PAEL (-8.32pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+148.71pts), Fertilizer (+135.50pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+118.05pts), Technology & Communication (+70.64pts), and Cement (+65.84pts).

While the index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-22.17pts), Cable & Electrical Goods (-8.32pts), Property (-4.87pts), Insurance (-3.75pts), and Glass & Ceramics (-3.46pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,541.62 with a net gain of 332.49 points or 0.46%.

Total market volume was 449.48 million shares compared to 507.51m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs29.18 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.93bn.

There were 257,401 trades reported in 447 companies with 206 closing up, 180 closing down, and 61 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 38,556 points or 49.15% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 1,874 points or 1.63% so far this calendar year.
