November 16, 2021 (MNL): The bulls led the local bourse today as investors were expecting a positive conclusion of the government’s deal with IMF.

Meanwhile, PKR's appreciation by 41 paisa kept upbeat the investors’ sentiments during the session.

Accordingly, the benchmark KSE100 index added 806.65 points to settle the trade at 46,542.91, witnessing an intraday high of 46,628.70

Of the 97 traded companies in the KSE100 Index 79 closed up 14 closed down, while 4 remained unchanged. Total volume traded for the index was 96.45 million shares.

Sectors propping up the index were Cement with 189 points, Technology & Communication with 121 points, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 104 points, Power Generation & Distribution with 78 points and Commercial Banks with 63 points.

The most points added to the index was by TRG which contributed 96 points followed by LUCK with 82 points, PPL with 62 points, OGDC with 52 points and HUBC with 51 points.

Sector wise, the index was let down by Automobile Parts & Accessories with 1 points and Sugar & Allied Industries with 1 points.

The most points taken off the index was by BAHL which stripped the index of 8 points followed by MARI with 7 points, POL with 4 points, PKGS with 3 points and AKBL with 2 points.

All Share Volume increased by 70.34 Million to 243.19 Million Shares. Market Cap increased by Rs.117.35 Billion.

Total companies traded were 351 compared to 345 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 239 closed up, 89 closed down while 23 remained unchanged.

Total trades increased by 43,649 to 116,728.

Value Traded increased by 5.30 Billion to Rs.10.43 Billion
