February 13, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 112,564.07, showing a decrease of 360.86 points or 0.32%.

The index traded in a range of 937.59 points showing an intraday high of 113,477.71 (+552.78) and a low of 112,540.12 (-384.81) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 289.22 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 35 closed up, 61 closed down, while 4 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were SHEL (-3.41%), HGFA (-3.35%), PGLC (-3.16%), PABC (-3.11%), and PSO (-2.95%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PSEL (+6.72%), AGP (+3.27%), PKGS (+3.22%), NRL (+3.03%), and LUCK (+2.82%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were PPL (-106.24pts), ENGROH (-74.54pts), PSO (-73.29pts), UBL (-65.91pts), and OGDC (-56.00pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were LUCK (+97.33pts), PSEL (+51.16pts), MCB (+30.88pts), BAFL (+19.84pts), and NBP (+18.71pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-176.34pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-92.23pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-76.73pts), Technology & Communication (-50.77pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (-22.69pts).

While the index was supported by Miscellaneous (+41.06pts), Cement (+36.97pts), Refinery (+25.60pts), Paper, Board & Packaging (+14.28pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+7.61pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 69,944.77 with a net loss of 129.67 points or 0.19%.

Total market volume was 596.73 million shares compared to 669.60m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs30.97 billion showing an increase of Rs3.06bn.

There were 292,077 trades reported in 445 companies with 176 closing up, 221 closing down, and 48 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 34,119 points or 43.49% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 2,563 points or 2.23% so far this calendar year.
