March 10, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 114,356.34, showing a decrease of 42.35 points or 0.04%.

The index traded in a range of 896.10 points showing an intraday high of 115,048.41 (+649.72) and a low of 114,152.31 (-246.38) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 165.91 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 43 closed up, 54 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were TGL (-4.89%), FCCL (-4.52%), GHGL (-4.02%), PSO (-3.84%), and FHAM (-3.24%).

On the other hand, top gainers were JDWS (+7.14%), ENGROH (+4.06%), SRVI (+3.56%), HCAR (+3.28%), and DCR (+2.94%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were PPL (-112.45pts), OGDC (-105.82pts), PSO (-98.36pts), FCCL (-58.34pts), and HUBC (-57.53pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were ENGROH (+228.84pts), UBL (+125.27pts), HBL (+65.76pts), POL (+48.78pts), and SRVI (+35.31pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-209.90pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-109.60pts), Cement (-108.80pts), Glass & Ceramics (-38.30pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (-37.55pts).

While the index was supported by Commercial Banks (+236.49pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+224.13pts), Leather & Tanneries (+35.31pts), Textile Composite (+16.04pts), and Sugar & Allied Industries (+15.76pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 71,031.68 with a net loss of 48.90 points or 0.07%.

Total market volume was 324.65 million shares compared to 404.36m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs20.70 billion showing a decrease of Rs7.14bn.

There were 203,259 trades reported in 435 companies with 194 closing up, 170 closing down, and 71 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 35,911 points or 45.78% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 771 points or 0.67% so far this calendar year.
