PIAHCL responds to reports on UK flight operations

August 04, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PSX: PIAHCLA) clarified that the regulatory clearance granted by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) pertains broadly to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA).

This clearance is based on compliance with aviation safety standards applicable to all Pakistani carriers and is not specific to any individual airline, the notification issued to the local bourse.

Following this development, all Pakistani airlines, including PIA, are required to apply individually for operating licenses and route-specific approvals before initiating flight operations to the UK.

The mention of “PIA” in recent reports was used metaphorically to represent the anticipated resumption of UK flights by Pakistani carriers as a whole, rather than indicating an exclusive or immediate start of operations by PIA.

PIAHCL further confirmed that it is not aware of any undisclosed material information or developments that could explain the recent unusual movement in the share price of PIAHCLB.
