March 27, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 117,806.74, showing an increase of 34.43 points or 0.03%.

The index traded in a range of 595.83 points showing an intraday high of 118,147.25 (+374.94) and a low of 117,551.42 (-220.89) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 193.47 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 44 closed up, 54 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were HINOON (+3.66%), JVDC (+3.57%), CNERGY (+3.25%), PAKT (+3.10%), and BIPL (+2.85%).

On the other hand, top losers were EFUG (-4.29%), KTML (-3.98%), SYS (-2.58%), KEL (-2.44%), and PTC (-2.40%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were UBL (+176.53pts), HUBC (+76.15pts), MCB (+57.36pts), MEBL (+37.20pts), and HINOON (+22.75pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-122.62pts), SYS (-83.84pts), PPL (-40.34pts), MARI (-24.61pts), and BAFL (-17.65pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+251.29pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+60.48pts), Cement (+35.99pts), Tobacco (+16.29pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+13.49pts).

While the index was let down by Fertilizer (-132.72pts), Technology & Communication (-95.12pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-51.20pts), Textile Composite (-25.60pts), and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-13.41pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 73,340.41 with a net gain of 51.69 points or 0.07%.

Total market volume was 329.99 million shares compared to 356.73m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs19.78 billion showing a decrease of Rs17.72bn.

There were 205,152 trades reported in 446 companies with 168 closing up, 216 closing down, and 62 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 39,362 points or 50.18% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 2,680 points or 2.33% so far this calendar year.
