PSO contributes Rs 71 Million for Corona relief activities

May 7, 2020: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has contributes Rs 71 Million towards the Corona relief fund, to provide support and relief to the underprivileged segments of society affected by Corona across the country.

Out of the Rs 71 million package, Rs. 50 million has been contributed to the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund. MD & CEO PSO Syed Muhammad Taha and Chairman, BOM, PSO, Zafar I Usmani, called on the Prime Minister Imran Khan and presented the cheque.

The remaining Rs. 21 million is donated to hospitals for procurement of protective and medical equipment, distribution of ration bags across the country and free fuel supplies to ambulances.

MD & CEO PSO, Syed Muhammad Taha has ensured the company's and its employees’ continuing commitment to stand firm to support the nation in the face of this calamity. Expressing his views, he said:

“I want to thank all the employees for the contribution they have made. We are facing a health emergency that is changing the world, however; being a responsible corporate citizen, PSO is engaging all its resources to assist the authorities in wiping out COVID-19. Our Board of Management, management team and employees are taking all imperative measures to aid the government and people constructively in curbing the effects of this global disaster”.

The Chairman, Board PSO, Zafar I. Usmani, praised PSO's contribution to the relief fund.
