March 08, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has resumed its refinery operations today, March 08, after a suspension period of 37 days, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

To recall, PRL announced the shutdown of its refinery operations due to maintenance and inspection turnaround from January 30, 2024.

Recently, the company declared its financial performance for the first half of FY24, as per which PRL's profit surged 8.57 times year-over-year to clock in at Rs6.51 billion [EPS: Rs10.33].

The company's revenue base strengthened over the review period and the substantial boost in other income section further complemented PRL's performance.

It is crucial to note that PRL is a subsidiary of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) and is engaged in the production and sale of petroleum products.
