January 17, 2025 (MLN): The Future Minerals Forum (FMF) entered its second day, attracting over 20,000 registered visitors, including ministers, mining professionals, service providers, investors, and academics.

Federal Minister of Petroleum and Water Resources for Pakistan, Dr. Musadik Malik, praised Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) for organizing the pavilion with support from other participating companies, according to the press release issued.

He made these remarks while participating in a panel discussion on fostering international collaboration to meet global mineral demand.

Investors from countries such as Turkey, China, and Chile expressed interest in Pakistan’s growing mining opportunities, seeking insights into potential investments.

His speech highlighted pragmatic approaches for enhancing cooperation between public and private sectors, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering its mining sector.

The event continues to be a key gathering for stakeholders in the global mining industry.

The Pakistan Pavilion stood out as a highlight of the forum, drawing substantial attention from attendees.

One visitor remarked, “If awards were given for best-designed pavilion, the Pakistan Pavilion would surely win.”

The Pakistan delegation hosted a 90-minute session on January 16, from 9:30 to 11:00 am.

Speakers, including Minister Dr. Musadik Malik, Imran Abbasy, Managing Director of PPL, and Project Director for Reko Diq, presented Pakistan’s mining investment climate and the government’s strategic vision for the sector’s growth.
