Green Enclave-1 allottees seek project completion

April 14, 2026 (MLN): A delegation of allottees from the Green Enclave-1 housing scheme under the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), headed by Chaudhry Amjad Ali, met Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Tuesday to raise concerns over the prolonged delay in the project’s execution.

The delegation briefed the minister on what they termed as avoidable delays and outlined the longstanding issues surrounding the scheme, which has remained incomplete for more than 17 years.

They stated that despite fulfilling all payment obligations, possession of their allotted plots has not yet been handed over, according to APP.

In response, the minister assured the delegation that development work on Green Enclave-1 would begin shortly and expressed regret over the prolonged delay.

He added that the Secretary Housing, Capt. (Rtd.) Muhammad Mahmood, is directly supervising the project and is committed to initiating development work at the earliest opportunity.

Chaudhry Amjad Ali, speaking on behalf of the allottees, also highlighted administrative concerns within FGEHA and urged the ministry to ensure the timely completion of the long-pending project.

Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada further stated that he would personally visit the project site in the coming days to review the situation and monitor progress.

The allottees, meanwhile, called for transparent planning and swift execution so that families waiting for over 17 years may finally be able to begin construction of their homes.
