Power Division refutes media reports on new electricity theft courts, stations

August 05, 2024 (MLN): The Power Division has denied reports of setting up separate courts and police stations to combat electricity theft, stating that all information in the media about this is false.
It was clarified that the federal government is running a campaign against electricity theft, the Information Ministry reported.
In this regard, the services of all law enforcement agencies are also being sought for the campaign.
The statement further said that the expenses incurred on the campaign to stop the theft were not collected from the consumers.
