PMEX Index picks up momentum, closes at 3,804 points

May 15, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index picked up momentum and gained 70 points to settle at 3,804. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.475 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,916.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.909 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 888.669 million), Silver (PKR 715.942 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 495.659 million), Crude Oil (PKR 461.673 million), DJ (PKR 407.455 million), SP500 (PKR 266.316 million), Natural Gas (PKR 173.389 million), Platinum (PKR 150.588 million) and Copper (PKR 6.747 million).

In agriculture commodities, 5 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 19.990 million and one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.526 million were traded.
