PMEX Index inches lower by 16 points to end at 3,479 points

April 27, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by 16 points and closed at 3,479. The traded value of Metals, Energy, and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.710 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,742.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.910 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 653.588 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 282.258 million), Silver (PKR 270.711 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 254.648 million), SP500 (PKR 112.637 million), Brent (PKR 66.075 million), Natural Gas (PKR 60.551 million), Platinum (PKR 50.842 million), DJ (PKR 41.469 million) and Copper (PKR 7.113 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lots of Soybean amounting to PKR 13.402 million and 2 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.891 million were traded.
