PMEX Index falls by 307 points to 3,411-mark

April 07, 2020: On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index fell by 307 points i.e. 8.25% lower than the previous closing of 3,411-mark. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.291 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,512.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.613 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 1.022 billion), Currencies through COTS (PKR 916.587 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 445.746 million), Silver (PKR 399.385 million), DJ (PKR 359.938 million), Japan Equity (PKR 225.733 million), SP500 (PKR 140.233 million), Natural Gas (PKR 114.965 million), Platinum (PKR 38.059 million) and Copper (PKR 15.522 million).

In agriculture commodities, 10 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 27.453 million, 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 9.336 million and 21 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 9.246 million were traded.
