KARACHI, Jun 29: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity Index on Thursday closed at 3,569 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 4.045 billion.

The number of lots traded was 6,326, said press release on Friday. (The data is compiled and released after 24 hours.)

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to Rs 1.309 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 666.578 billion, gold Rs 657.801 million, WTI crude oil Rs 610.124 million, silver Rs 468.433 million, platinum Rs110.124 million, DJ Rs 82.282 million,natural gas Rs 71.472 million, SP500 Rs 51.266 million, copper Rs 14.810 million and Brent crude oil Rs 2.456 million.In agriculture 5 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 25.636 million were traded.
