PMEX Commodity Index up by 69 points

April 24, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index gained 69 points to settle at 3,495. The traded value of Metals, Energy, and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.033 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,925.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.104 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.158 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 764.765 million), Silver (PKR 257.849 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 240.862 million), Platinum (PKR 193.422 million), SP500 (PKR 168.986 million), Natural Gas (PKR 122.211 million), DJ (PKR 14.984 million), Japan Equity (PKR 6.217 million) and Copper (PKR 2.211 million).

In agriculture commodities, 18 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 28.581 million, 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 8.694 million, and one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.761 million were traded.
