PMEX commodity index ends 79 points higher

March 27, 2020: PMEX Commodity Index continued its positive streak on Thursday as well, as the index gained 79 points to settle at 3,577-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.628 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,030.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.235 billion, followed by DJ (PKR 987.809 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 900.345 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 898.496 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 589.202 million), Crude Oil (PKR 412.613 million), Silver (PKR 238.619 million), SP500 (PKR 125.380 million), Natural Gas (PKR 115.703 million), Platinum (PKR 92.519 million) and Copper (PKR 31.516 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.797 million and 3 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.336 million were traded.
